June 2026 Update - Overtime & Allowances, Reports, and Custom Roles

Here’s what’s new since the May update.

⏱️ Overtime, Allowances & Flex

A new allowance and settlement engine turns recorded work time into the supplements and banked hours your agreements require:

  • Allowance Policies: Build a supplement from composable filters (weekday, weekend, time interval, Danish holidays, inconvenient hours) and calculators (per minute, per started hour or half-hour, flat per session)
  • Overtime Banking: Work above the weekly norm is split into counters β€” additional hours, overtime, and a running flex deficit β€” and banked or paid out according to your rules
  • Settlement Policies: A new settlement pipeline decides what happens to each balance when a timesheet is approved β€” credit a flex account, cap it, or request a payout
  • On-Call & Flex Consistency: The flex balance shown on the timesheet, dashboard, and statement now all derive from the same ledger, so the preview always matches what lands on submit; on-call standby no longer inflates worked time or flex
  • Auto-Calculated: Allowances are registered automatically as the timesheet is filled in, with a tooltip linking each one to its documentation

πŸ“Š Reports

A new reports area gives managers and HR a place to pull the numbers they need:

  • Registered Hours: The registered hours report lists worked time with date-range presets, filtering by activity type, and print-friendly output
  • Account Movements: The account movements report shows how time-off and flex balances changed over a period
  • Presence: A check-in/out report summarises attendance across the team
  • Richer Filters & Grouping: Group and filter reports by org unit, employment terms, and more
  • Implicit Forecast: Balance reports now fold the forecast in directly instead of needing a separate toggle

πŸ”‘ Roles & Permissions

Workspace roles are now fully customisable:

  • Custom Roles: Define your own roles with an explicit permission set and optional inheritance, manage them under Settings β€Ί Roles with a permission picker, resolved-permissions preview, scheduled changes, and version history
  • Override Standard Roles: Tailor the built-in manager or admin role to your workspace’s needs, with the option to restore the defaults later
  • Read-Only Role: A new role grants visibility across the workspace without the ability to change anything
  • Edit Invited Users: Change the role assigned to someone before they have accepted their invitation
  • Non-Employed Profiles: A new “none” employment status covers people who need access but aren’t employees (e.g. external approvers)

βœ… Approvals & Submission

The timesheet submission and approval flow was overhauled:

  • Submission Gating: Days with an open clock-in or no recorded work block submission until they’re completed, so incomplete periods can’t slip through
  • Approval Delegation: Managers can delegate their approval rights while away β€” delegated items are clearly marked in the inbox, and the held manager receives a catch-up summary on return
  • Time-Off Cancellation Approval: Cancelling an already-approved absence can now require manager approval, the same as the original request
  • Per-Project Approval: Route timesheet approval per project where different projects have different approvers
  • Registration Windows: New work-time policies control how far ahead employees may record time and how far back they may backdate, with overdue reminders
  • Statement Sheet: A unified statement sheet with a cleaner period picker and a clearer reopen flow, available everywhere a statement is shown

⏰ Check-In/Out & Time Entry

Recording time is quicker and more accurate:

  • Automatic Lunch: An automatic lunch deduction can be configured to subtract a break from worked time, with a live preview of the pending deduction shown at check-out
  • Reason & Note at Check-Out: Capture a reason and a multi-line note when you clock out, not just when clocking in
  • Norm Time on Empty Days: Optionally auto-register the expected norm hours on days with no entry, so a standard week needs no manual filling
  • Ongoing Time on Default Activity: An in-progress session now shows its running time against the default activity
  • Separator Preference: Duration fields respect your preferred decimal separator when you type

πŸ€’ Time Off

Several improvements to time-off policies and requests:

  • Work-Pattern-Dependent: Time-off consumption now follows an employee’s actual working pattern, so part-time and varied-week schedules are counted correctly
  • Balance at Request Dates: When creating a request, the projected balance is shown for the requested dates rather than today
  • Accrual in Earning Month: Accruals are now booked in the month they’re earned, lining up balances with payroll periods
  • Norm-Based Working Days: Whether a day counts as a working day is determined from the employee’s norm instead of assuming a Monday–Friday week
  • Pre-Selected Type: Starting an absence from a timesheet cell pre-selects the type you clicked

🌍 More Languages

  • Norwegian & Swedish: The app, kiosk, and notifications are now available in Norwegian and Swedish, alongside earlier locales
  • Italian & Dutch: Added Italian and Dutch translations
  • Persisted Choice: Your selected language now survives a page reload

✨ More Improvements

  • Team Calendar: Show heads of unit, group by unit or by head, and combine filters with OR logic; your own row is pinned to the top
  • Workspace Start Date: Set a start date for the workspace so periods and reports don’t reach back before you began
  • Default to Your Team: Employee pickers now open on the people you manage instead of a full alphabetical list
  • Workspace Icons: Upload an SVG icon, and dev, staging, and test workspaces are visually flagged so you always know where you are
  • Test Profiles: On a test workspace, one login can switch between several profiles to submit as an employee and approve as the manager
  • Mobile Timesheet: The mobile activity layout now matches the dashboard for a consistent experience
  • Sign-In: Invite people on external email domains, sign in on mobile with Google, and email addresses are matched case-insensitively
  • Intega HR: Time-off periods now flow out to Intega HR with an integration log, in addition to employee import

πŸ”§ Under the Hood

  • Projection Parity Check: A background job continuously verifies that rebuilt balances match the running ones, catching drift before it reaches a report
  • Notifications: Badge counts no longer drift, notifications are de-duplicated per event, and dates render in each recipient’s own format preference
  • Sign-In Security: Web sign-in moved fully onto PKCE and the iOS app’s OAuth flow was hardened
  • Reliability: Job enqueueing is now idempotent, outbound email to example domains is filtered out, and frontend and backend caching were tightened for steadier performance
