January 2026 Update - New Features and Improvements
We’ve been hard at work since mid-December, delivering new features and improvements. Here’s what’s new.
β¨ Custom Attributes
You can now extend employee and organization unit data with custom attributes:
- Flexible Fields: Add text, numbers, dates, checkboxes, and dropdown lists to employees and organization units
- Required & Unique: Mark attributes as required or enforce unique values across your workspace
- Search Integration: Searchable attributes are automatically included when you search for employees
- Easy Management: Configure custom attributes in workspace settings
Custom attributes are also available for employment terms, giving you complete flexibility in how you track information.
π Background Jobs
View and manage automated tasks from the new Jobs page in the admin section:
- Auto-provisioning: Employees are automatically set up with accounts when their start date arrives, and offboarded when they leave
- Workspace Cleanup: Deactivated workspaces are automatically deleted after 30 days
- Job History: See when jobs ran, their results, and any errors
- Manual Triggers: Run jobs on demand when needed
π€ User Management
Preferred Names: We’ve renamed “call name” to “preferred name” throughout the system for better clarity. This field is now required when creating accounts.
Activity Tracking: See when users, API keys, and kiosks were last active to monitor usage and identify inactive accounts.
Service Accounts: Create service users with API keys for integrations and automated systems. Monitor when each API key was last used.
Version History: Track changes to employment terms, time off policies, and allowance policies with full version history. Click the history button when editing these items to see all past versions.
π¨ User Interface Improvements
Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Cmd/Ctrl + K: Open command menu to quickly search for employees
- Cmd/Ctrl + H: Open assistant
- Cmd/Ctrl + S: Save when editing (where available)
- Tab and Arrow keys: Navigate through tables
Better Forms:
- Clear indicators show which fields are required
- Improved layouts with two-column forms where appropriate
- Better error messages when validation fails
- Forms remember your progress if you navigate away
Smoother Experience:
- Faster page transitions without flickering
- Mobile-friendly card views for tables
- Data stays loaded when you navigate back to a page
- Install as a mobile app with update notifications
Full-Page Editors: Organization units and other entities now use full-page edit views instead of modal dialogs, giving you more space to work.
π Language Support
Documentation is now available with screenshots in English, French, and Danish, making it easier to learn the system in your preferred language.
