Never Expires

The Never Expires plugin explicitly indicates that accrued time off never expires and can accumulate indefinitely. This is the simplest expiration plugin and requires no configuration.
When to use
Use this plugin when:
- Time off should accumulate without expiration
- You want to explicitly override expiration from an accrual plugin
- Company policy allows unlimited carryover
- You need to comply with regulations requiring no expiration
Parameters
This plugin has no configuration parameters.
How it works
The plugin simply sets no expiration date on accruals, allowing time to accumulate indefinitely. Employees can use their time off at any point, regardless of how long ago it was earned.
Examples
Unlimited vacation bank
Allow employees to accumulate vacation time without limits:
- Add the Never Expires plugin to your policy
- No configuration needed — click Save
Override Danish Holiday expiration
If you’re using the Danish Holiday accrual plugin but don’t want the automatic expiration:
- Keep your Danish Holiday accrual plugin configuration
- Add the Never Expires expiration plugin
- The expiration plugin will override the automatic December 31 expiration
Consider the implications: Allowing unlimited accumulation may create liability on your balance sheet and could discourage employees from taking time off. Consider pairing this with usage policies that encourage regular time off.
