Carryover plugins

Carryover plugins let days that would expire move into the next year instead, by agreement between employee and employer.

Overview

A policy has at most one carryover plugin, and none by default: no accrual plugin adds one. Add it in the Carryover section of the time-off policy editor.

The agreement is made on the employee’s timesheet statement. The employee enters the days when they submit, and the statement’s final approval is the employer’s agreement. An employer can also set the plugin to transfer automatically for everyone on the policy. A carryover never changes when the days expire. The days stay usable until their expiry, and on that date the agreed part moves to a new expiry instead of lapsing.
