Danish Vacation

The Danish Vacation plugin is a simplified accrual plugin designed for the standard Danish vacation system (Samtidighedsferie). It uses pre-configured settings that comply with Danish vacation law, making it the easiest choice for Danish companies.

When to use

Use this plugin when:

• You follow the standard Danish vacation rules
• Employees earn 25 vacation days per year
• The vacation year runs from September to August
• You want a simple setup without advanced options

For more flexibility, consider the Monthly Accrual plugin instead.

Parameters

How it works

The plugin accrues vacation monthly from September through August:

1. Each month, approximately 1/12 of the annual entitlement is accrued
2. For 25 days per year, this means 2.08 days per month
3. The accrual is credited on the first day of the following month
4. Any rounding remainder is applied in the final month (August)

Automatic expiration

The Danish Vacation plugin automatically sets expiration dates according to Danish vacation law:

• Accrued time expires on December 31 after the vacation year ends
• This provides a 4-month grace period after the vacation year ends on August 31
