Worked hours

The Worked hours counter posts every worked minute of the day onto the policy’s allowance activity — no norm, no band, no threshold. Absence is excluded: only attendance-backed worked time counts, so a vacation or sick day contributes nothing.

When to use

  • Show hourly paid employees their payable hours accumulating live through the period — in the timesheet, on the open statement’s allowances, and on the dashboard.
  • Feed a payroll integration with the period’s worked hours: give the target activity the integration’s salary code, and each approved period’s total is reported as salary (changed re-approvals report the signed difference).

Parameters

None. The day’s worked total is the value.

How it works

Each day posts its attendance-backed worked minutes as-is — work registrations of any kind count, absence credit never does (paid absence reaches payroll separately, so counting it here would report the same day twice). Unlike the norm-relative counters, the figure does not depend on the rest of the week.

Selecting an activity as the Hourly pay activity on an employment term runs this counter for it automatically — no policy needed, and the behavior is identical either way. Don’t point both at the same activity: policies stack, so the hours would be counted twice (the term editor warns about this).
