Registered sessions
The Registered sessions counter posts a fixed amount for each registration on chosen activities or with chosen dimension values, however long it lasted. It can also top a short registration up to a minimum length.
When to use
- Preparation per session: each examination earns 60 minutes of preparation, whatever its length.
- A minimum paid length: each examination is paid for at least 1 hour, so a 40-minute one pays 20 minutes more.
For pay that follows the hours registered, use Registered hours instead.
Parameters
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Dimension values | Registrations carrying any of these values count. |
| Activities | Registrations on any of these activities count. A parent activity does not include its sub-activities. |
| Minutes per session | Posted for every registration that counts. |
| Minimum session length | Also posts what each registration that counts falls short of this many minutes. Leave at 0 for no minimum. |
Set at least one of the two filters, and at least one of the two amounts. When both filters are set, a registration must match both.
How it works
- Every registration is one session. Two registrations on the same day count twice, even back to back on the same activity.
- A registration with only a duration counts too. An examination typed as “40 min” counts exactly like one registered 13:00–13:40. To count only registrations with a from–to, make from–to required on the activity, so it can’t be registered without one.
- Work and non-work registrations count, typed in or filled in from check-ins. Time off and allowance registrations never count.
- The registration keeps its own effect. Its hours still count as worked time and flex as before; the counter only adds the allowance.
- Changing or deleting a registration updates the allowance straight away.
Example: examinations with preparation and a 1-hour minimum
Instructors register each examination on the work activity Eksamination, with a from–to. Each one earns 60 minutes’ preparation and is paid for at least 1 hour. Preparation and the top-up go to payroll on their own lines, so they are two policies:
- Create two allowance activities, for example Forberedelse and Eksamination – minimum, each with its payroll code.
- Create a Weekly Registrations allowance policy with the Registered sessions counter, pick Eksamination under Activities
, set Minutes per session
to
60and the target activity to Forberedelse. - Create a second one, also on Eksamination, with Minutes per session
at
0, Minimum session length at60, and the target activity Eksamination – minimum.
| Examinations on a day | Forberedelse | Eksamination – minimum | Paid in all |
|---|---|---|---|
| 13:00–13:40 | 1:00 | 0:20 | 2:00 |
| 13:00–14:30 | 1:00 | 0:00 | 2:30 |
| 09:00–09:30 and 11:00–11:45 | 2:00 | 0:45 | 4:00 |
