Registered hours
The Registered hours counter posts the hours employees register with chosen dimension values or on chosen activities onto the policy’s allowance activity. The hours are registered once, in the timesheet, and still reach a time account or payroll as an allowance — no second registration.
When to use
- Unplanned on-call hours (rådighed) are registered on a non-work activity and must also be credited to a time account or paid as an allowance.
- Hours registered with a particular dimension value — a shift type, say — earn an allowance on top of their normal pay.
Parameters
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Dimension values | Registrations carrying any of these values count. |
| Activities | Registrations on any of these activities count. Only work and non-work activities can be picked. A parent activity does not include its sub-activities. |
Set at least one of the two; a policy with both empty can’t be saved. When both are set, a registration must match both — one of the dimension values and one of the activities.
How it works
Each day, the counter adds up the minutes of the registrations that match and posts the total on the policy’s allowance activity.
- Work and non-work registrations count, whether typed in or filled in automatically from check-ins. Time off and allowance registrations never count.
- The hours keep their own effect. A work registration still counts as worked time and flex; a non-work registration still doesn’t. The counter only adds the allowance.
- Only work activities can carry dimension values, so the dimension filter only ever matches work registrations. Non-work hours are matched with the Activities setting. Combining a non-work activity with a dimension value never matches anything.
- Changing or deleting a registration updates the allowance straight away.
Example: unplanned on-call hours
Employees register unplanned on-call hours on a non-work activity, Rådighed. To credit them to a time account:
- Create an allowance activity, for example Rådighedstimer.
- Create a Weekly Registrations allowance policy with the Registered hours counter, pick Rådighed under Activities , and set the target activity to Rådighedstimer.
- Add Rådighedstimer as an input to a settlement policy that credits the time account — or give it a payroll code to pay it out instead.
An employee who registers 2:30 on Rådighed then sees 2:30 on Rådighedstimer in the same day’s timesheet. Their flex is unchanged, since non-work hours are not worked time.
