Norm deficit
The Norm deficit counter tracks the week’s running shortfall against the norm — afspadsering. A short day posts its shortfall while the week-to-date is behind its norm; a later long day posts the repayment. It never goes below zero, so a week that catches up posts nothing.
When to use
- Carry the deficit of a short week as time-debt that a later long week repays, rather than paying a negative amount.
- Paired with an Additional hours counter set to Skip the negative remainder — Additional hours then handles only the surplus above the norm, and Norm deficit handles the shortfall, so a short week is never counted twice.
Parameters
This counter takes no configuration — it works directly from the week’s worked time and norm.
How it works
The counter walks the week day by day. While the week-to-date is behind its norm, a short day adds its shortfall; a longer day later in the week repays it, floored at zero. The week total is the carried shortfall that remains, or zero once the week has caught up. A week that never falls behind its norm posts nothing — that surplus belongs to Additional hours or Overtime instead.
