Minutes

The Minutes calculator returns the matched duration unchanged. It is the simplest calculator and the implicit default — a rule with no calculator selected behaves exactly like a rule that uses the Minutes calculator.

When to use

  • Standard allowances that pay one minute of supplement per minute of qualifying work.
  • As a placeholder when the rate is encoded elsewhere (for example as a fixed hourly amount on the target activity) and you only need the time total here.

If the agreement pays more or less than the matched minutes — a 50 % premium, time-and-a-half, double-time — use Percentage instead.

How it works

The calculator sums the durations of every range that survived the rule’s filters and returns the total in minutes.
