Payroll
See the payable amounts per employee and source, and whether they have been sent to payroll.
Overview
The Payroll report lists what approved timesheets produce for payroll — allowances and time account payouts — one row per employee, timesheet period and source, each traced back to the timesheet it came from. It is the sheet to reconcile payslips against: before a payroll run it answers “what am I about to send?”, and afterwards “what did I send?”.
Navigate to in the sidebar. The report is there once an integration that receives payroll is turned on — the same condition as the Payroll page.
What the dates select
Unlike the other reports, the Period does not select timesheet periods. It selects payroll runs by their cut-off date:
- An amount that has been sent belongs to the run that sent it
- An amount not sent yet belongs to the next open run, which will take it
So a late May timesheet paid in July’s run is in July’s report, and a July timesheet that August’s run will take is not. The Payroll run column shows the cut-off of the run each row belongs to.
Columns
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Employee | Whose amount it is |
| Source | The activity or time account the amount comes from, marked Allowance or Time account |
| Payroll run | The cut-off date of the run the amount belongs to |
| Period | The timesheet period the amount was earned in |
| Amount | The amount, in the unit of its source (hours or days). A correction to a period that was already paid is negative |
| Lines | How many payroll lines make up the amount. More than one means the timesheet was approved again, and the amount includes corrections |
| Timesheet status | Where the timesheet stands now |
| Sent to payroll | The date the amount was sent, or Not sent |
Filters
On top of the common filters, two filters narrow the rows:
- Sent to payroll — Sent or Not sent
- Source — Allowance or Time account
Choosing both options of a filter is the same as choosing neither.
Exporting
The download button at the right of the filter bar saves the current view — same filters, same rows — as an .xlsx file.
